Buckingham Palace – First opened to the Public in 1993, Buckingham Palace has been the official residence of the British Sovereign since the accession of Queen Victoria to the thrown in 1837. Madame Tussauds – The famous waxworks of Madame Tussauds are situated on Marylebone Road and include lifelike statues of some of the world’s most famous celebrities including David Beckham, Tom Cruise and Madonna. Madame Tussauds is around 2 and half miles from the Elysee Hotel.
Trafalgar Square – Constructed in the early 1800s, to commemorate Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar, Trafalgar Square is one of London’s most popular tourist attractions, being visited by an estimated 15 million people a year. The Square comprises an 18ft statue of Admiral Nelson, 4 bronze lions, 4 large bronze statues in each corner and 2 large fountains. A staircase within the square leads to the National Gallery. Westminster Abbey – The traditional place of burial and coronation for the monarchy, Westminster Abbey holds a unique place in the history of Britain and is one of London’s best-loved landmarks. The Abbey is 2.9 miles from Elysee Hotel.
The Houses of Parliament – No visit to London would be complete without a trip to the Houses of Parliament and the iconic tower of ‘Big Ben.’ Entry is free, and the public can sit in on debates in the commons and the House of Lords. The Houses of Parliament are around 3 miles from the Elysee Hotel.
Tate Britain – For art lovers, the famous Tate Britain hosts works from some of the world’s most celebrated artists and is just over 3 miles from Elysee Hotel.
