Trafalgar Square – Constructed in the early 1800s, to commemorate Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar, Trafalgar Square is one of London’s most popular tourist attractions, being visited by an estimated 15 million people a year. The Square comprises an 18ft statue of Admiral Nelson, 4 bronze lions, 4 large bronze statues in each corner and 2 large fountains. A staircase within the square leads to the National Gallery. Westminster Abbey – The traditional place of burial and coronation for the monarchy, Westminster Abbey holds a unique place in the history of Britain and is one of London’s best-loved landmarks. The Abbey is 2.9 miles from Elysee Hotel.
